Garri is the powdery food material flakes made from the tuberous roots of the cassava plant, which in the process of its manufacture is changed into dry edible granules. Garri is pan fried cassava flakes which is very popular in West Africa. Garri made from tubes and roots of the cassava plant contains proteins, fat, carbohydrates, iron, Vitamin B and C and also starch. The leaves contain calcium, iron, fats and protein too.
